Back to School 2024
Hillsborough Community College Art Galleries’ hosted their 2nd Annual Silent Hawktion & Back to School Bash in Aug. 2024.
I had the school’s mascot - a hawk - pose in front of the bookstore with school books and a canvas. I then added our logo and event details in Adobe Illustrator.

Earth Day 2024
Hillsborough Community College Art Galleries’ hosted Earth Day events on both their Ybor City and Dale Mabry Campuses in 2024.
In Ybor City, the galleries welcomed HCC students, staff and community members to help replant our artist-curated garden, The NEST. My flyer design incorporates that NEST site’s colorful tile wall, pineapple plants, sunshine mimosas and ever-present chickens.
For the Dale Mabry campus, I illustrated the four plants that the HCC SEED club was giving away as part of their Earth Day event - aquatic milkweed, pink swamp milkweed, lyreleaf sage and tickseed. I added monarch and queen butterflies to illustrate that milkweed is a host plant for these butterflies.

Twice as Spectacular
I created a promotional graphic for Sheila Cowley’s play, “Twice as Spectacular,” in 2023. I was originally hired to create origami props for the play but ended up incorporating some of the origami into an online flyer. Inspired by the play’s plot, I folded a red rocket and the people riding the rocket, then photographed them, removed the background in Photoshop, and replaced it with a beach scene I created in Illustrator.
